In August 2015, Shannen Doherty was diagnosed with breast Cancer and she has to undergo by different treatments like she had mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiation and reconstructive surgery.This was because she had multiple tumors and her cancer was at extreme stage.
Later in April 2017, she informed that her cancer was in remission.
But unfortunately she revealed in the year 2020 that her cancer has reoccurred and is at stage 4. Furthermore according to reports, her cancer was called terminal in the court documents which she registered for her lawsuit against insurance company State Farm.
In January of the 2023, she informed with fans that her cancer tumors have spread to her Brian and she again had surgery in order to remove tumors from brain.
After six months in June 2023, she shared video on her Instagram from hospital and captioned it;
“I am extremely claustrophobic and there was a lot going on in my life. I am fortunate as I have great doctors like (Dr.) Amin Mirahdi and the amazing techs at cedar sinai. But that fear…. The turmoil….. the timing of it all…. This is what cancer can look like.”
Later In November 2023, she told her breast cancer has spread to her bones. She was attending interview by People Magazine.
“I’m not afraid of dying, I just don’t want to die. Like ever,” she joked.

In January 2024, she shared results of her new cancer treatment “cancer infusion” by saying:
“After the sixth or seventh treatment, we really saw it breaking down the blood-brain barrier. Do I call that a miracle? For me, that happens to be a miracle right now. That like I sort of rolled the dice and said let’s keep going“.
The actress in her most recent 1st April Episode of her podcast “Let’s Be Clear with Shannen Doherty” told she is selling her belongings so that her mother could have an easier live after her death.
“My priority at the moment is my mom… I know it’s going to be hard on her if I pass away before her,” she said.
“Because it’s going to be so hard on her, I want other things to be a lot easier. I don’t want her to have a bunch of stuff to deal with. I don’t want her to have four storage units filled with furniture,”
While commenting on her Current Health Situation he also told:
“We are on a really good regimen now, and it’s working well for me. So (I just take things) day by day, month by month, year by year,” she said.

“Not only did I want a child for myself, but I wanted it for my husband, I wanted it for our marriage, I wanted him to have that part of himself fulfilled as well,” she said of her ex-husband.
