Taiwan Earthquake| All You need to know about Today Tsunami Warning in Taiwan, Japan and Phillipines

There are lots of speculations regarding Tsunami Warning in Taiwan and nearby regions after Taiwan was hit by strongest Earthquake in it’s history of last 25 years and this quake has magnitude of 7.4 on the Richter Scale reportedly.

Tsunami Warning in Taiwan Today:

The United States Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii informed that “ tsunami threat in Taiwan has now largely passed,” although it is suggested that national authorities continue to issue additional alerts.

Further it was added that sea level fluctuations of up to about 12 inches above and below the normal tide may be noticed in the next few hours.That’s why No damage is reported from tsunami in Taiwan .

Tsunami Warning Japan:

According to Japan national media , Japan lifted a tsunami advisory on Wednesday afternoon after warning of the large waves of Tsunami hitting parts of Okinawa.Tsunami Warning in Taiwan Today:

Due to Earthquake there was possibility of waves of up to 3 meters in some areas in Okinawa but later on it was reported by tsunami advisory that tsunami waves having height of 1 meter can be noticed in coastal areas and that advisory was lifted as of 12 p.m.

But after 15 minutes of Quake, Tsunami waves of least 30 centimeters were noticed at Yonaguni and Miyako islands and furthermore waves having height of 20 cm also observed at Ishigaki Island. No information of damages are available.

Tsunami warnings were also issued in the coastal regions of some provinces of the Philippines,but these warning were lifted after some hours.

According to initial reports by Taiwan media, about four people have died in this quake injuries more than 50 people. At least 26 buildings have been collapsed, more than half in Hualien with rescue work continued as many people trapped in collapsed buildings.

Taiwan’s Central Weather Administration informed that quake had a depth of 15.5km.
It was very strong. It felt as if the house was going to topple,” said 60-year-old Taipei hospital worker Chang Yu-Lin.
